Hardik Pandya called dog? Navjot Singh Sidhu dubs Rohit Sharma ‘elephant’ in a unique praise

Former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu heaped rich praise on Mumbai Indians batter Rohit Sharma ahead of the game against Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The match between the teams will take place on 1st April at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Rohit Sharma is playing under the leadership of Hardik Pandya in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. The batter was removed as the skipper of the team ahead of the tournament as the franchise owners passed on the baton to the all-rounder, who was traded from Gujarat Titans.

Although his fans aren’t happy, Rohit Sharma seems to be enjoying his time in the IPL as the batter for Mumbai Indians. The opening batter is also seen passing information to Hardik Pandya at times and it seems that he has taken the decision well.

In the two games that he has played for Mumbai Indians, Rohit Sharma has looked magnificent to the eyes as he has played impactful knocks for the team. In the first game against, Gujarat Titans, he scored 43 runs and kept his team in the hunt while chaining the target.

In the second game against Rajasthan Royals, Rohit Sharma played a cameo of 26 runs. He came out all guns blazing and made sure that he set the tone for his team while batting at the top in the big chase of 278 runs. Although MI lost both games, him being in sublime form was a feast for the fans.

“Even if the elephant is covered in dust, it will still be respected. Even tying the dog with a gold chain does not make one respectable.”
